The BMDA (Baltic Management Development Association) Marketing Cup is a dynamic international competition where teams tackle marketing and management challenges within the StratX simulation environment. The competition offers students and alumni the chance to engage in a hands-on simulation based on real-life business scenarios, assessing their analytical skills, ability to collaborate, and creative thinking.
Gren, Kaspar, and Hendrik formed a strong team whose consistent work and smart strategic decisions took them to the finals – and ultimately to first place. The highlight of the competition was the BMDA Annual Conference, where the winners were officially announced. The entire team was rewarded with a joint trip to Germany, where they visited international companies and deepened their marketing and management knowledge.
“Looking back… nothing adds up,” smiled Gren, referring to the intensity and unexpected twists of the game. “Sometimes lose, but always win,” added Kaspar, highlighting how even the tough moments provided valuable learning experiences. “A great way to finish my studies and put what I’ve learned to the test,” said Hendrik, for whom the competition marked a symbolic milestone at the end of his academic journey.
EBS lecturer Marge Täks, who supervised the team, commented:
“I’m absolutely delighted to see how our students applied their knowledge, endured the pressure of intense simulation rounds, and managed to stand out in international competition. Of course, I feel a genuine sense of joy and pride in their achievement!”
In addition to the winning team, Marii Räpp and Greta Liisa Ilus (second-year Bachelor’s students in International Business Administration) and Gregory Tuuling (third-year student) also proudly represented EBS at the Marketing Cup.
The EBS community warmly congratulates all participants and wishes them continued success in their future endeavours – you are a true inspiration to us all!
